Done!

I completed my writing assignments last week! I finished on Friday night, July 23rd, with 30 minutes until midnight. :-) It was so nice to be done! I have just been catching up on sleep, and enjoying not doing home work until school starts up again. I started practicing for my recital, and that will be under way soon. I found a really cool flute and piano piece by Aaron Copland at the library today, among others that I plan to order in the future. I really want to do the Copland piece, but we will see what Ma ma Maggie says. :-) I get paid on the 1st, so I will order a couple pieces of music. Alright, bye for now. :-)

Tuesday

Well, it's Tuesday and my writing assignments for my class are due on Friday. EEEEEK!! But, I'm not going to stress, and I will have everything done by Friday with no problems. :-) I'm going to focus on the concert reports because they are easier. Yeah... Good plan! :-)

I hope you are having a wonderful summer day, and enjoying the sun. :-) That is all for today. I will be able to provide you with more random thoughts when I don't have home work to do. :) After this class is done I will start preparing for my recital in October.

God Bless!!

Saturday Morning

I love Saturday mornings! Who doesn't? As soon as I write a bit here I will be working on my writing assignments that are due on the 23rd. The dead line is coming close, and frankly, I'm a little nervous for that. Even though I've been known to work well under pressure... weird... The library is open all day, so that is were I will be spending my Saturday. But, I will have more Saturdays left this summer to enjoy the sun. :)

Here is what I love about Missoula Saturdays...
Farmers Market. So many vegetables to chose from and at great prices. Last week I bought 2 bags of pea pods for four dollars. Granted it didn't last me a week, but I love pea pods. I used them in a stir fry, and they go great with ranch and carrots for a snack.

It's pretty quiet except for the farmers market. It's really quiet at the library. So, if you are looking for a place to read a good book, or write or just need to some time by your self, whether you prefer to be out side maybe under a tree, or in an air conditioned building... there are so many options. :-)

There is so much to do!! I love it!! :) It's such a hopping place during the summer. So much culture... so many artistic venues... one of my favorite things to do is to hang out at a coffee shop... say Liquid Planet or Zoo Town Brew... read the bible... read a book... write in my journal... blog about my random thoughts... catch up with a friend and have my favorite coffee or tea.

I AM happy... Life is good. :-) Thank you Jesus! :)

Honey Vanilla Tea

My morning started on campus with a nice hot mug of honey vanilla tea. I have never tried it before, but I thought I would take a chance and try it. The combination of honey and vanilla is a lot better than I thought it would be. I'm finding it is better for me to start my morning with tea instead of the sugar and caffeen loaded coffee that I usually do. Both are enjoyable, even drip coffee, but tea is starting to sound better to have on a regular basis. :-)

Sports camp comes to a close today! :( I couldn't be there yesterday because I signed up to sub for some one at work before I decided to help with it. It was a short week, but the kids and so sweet, and so fun to be around. Preschool can be a bit of a task just keeping them from running around all the time, but who can blame them when you are out side with so much around them? Not me! ;) It has been a very rewarding experience and I hope to do something like it again this summer.

My first jewelry class is next Wednesday and I am super excited to go! I'll do a little write up about it with pictures of my creation on my jewelry blog. I'm hoping to do a little more once I get paid in August. :)

Bye for now & and have a great day! Enjoy the sunshine!!

Raspberry Ice Tea

I have my jewelry blog up!

http://jennajewel.blogspot.com/

Check it some time this coming week. I will have stuff posted on there after Wednesday. I will continue to do posts on here as well.

Sports camp is going great! I love my preschoolers, they are so adorable! On Friday we will be having a BBQ for the last day. I will be bringing lemon and lime jello. :-) J-E-L-L-O!!!
Russ is going to fix my bike for me, so now I can ride it to work, or where ever I need to go. It will save me a lot of money on gas, that is for sure! My check book also balanced, and it's good with the bank! I love it when that happens. Usually I have a terrible time balancing it, and this time it worked like a charm! Mom you would be so proud of me! :-) Any way, see you later friends!

Julie Powell Blog... Jewelry Blog...

I found Julie Powell's blog this morning. I haven't read it yet but I am excited to do so. But, my thoughts on this is blogging about someting besides my thoughts that randomly come into my head. As much as you enjoy reading that, I feel like this blog should be about something different. Since I will be starting jewelry classes next week, I have decided to make this blog about the jewerly that I make in class, and out side of class. I'm on a tight budget this summer, so not only will it be with fancy jewelry but it will be jewerly made out of recycled things, or basically anything I can find around my apartment. :-)

Blog Crazy!!

I'm on a blogging kick this week... don't really know why. I have been journaling a lot, and the thought of writing (typing in this case) my thoughts down when ever they come up, and having a book and a pen ready, or a key board and a computer is fun and... well... it gives me a good feeling. :P I don't really know how else to describe it.

I recently watching the movie Julie and Julia, a movie about two ture parallel stories of Julie Powel and Julia child. Julie Powel blogged about going through Julia Child's cook book in a year. Watching the movie probably got me started on the blogging kick... just saying... that's a safe bet. But, a summer, with not a lot to do, other than work... I'm okay with blogging after doing other things.

I really need to be productive, and work on my writing assigments for my class in Vienna. Usually I work better closer to the dead line at a crunch for time. I don't really understand that myself... but I guess it just happens. :-) Okay, another short post. I'll probably end up writing a couple a day, just to let you know. :-) Have a good one!!

Cool off

The weather is getting cooler and that makes me happy :-) Instead of being in the 90's, today will be in the 70's. :-) Such a nice change!

Sports camp yesterday was a lot of fun! I'm leading the preschoolers with another girl, her name is Rachel. Other than yesterday, I don't have any experience with preschoolers, so it is an entirely new leading experience for me. We even did sports crafts, which is more up my alley. :) It was a little crazy yesterday because it was so windy, hopefully today it won't be like that.

That is all for today. Thanks for reading... who ever you are. :)

It's been a while...

So, it has been a long time since I have written on here. I for those of you who don't know, which I can't imagine there are many of you, but I was in Vienna for 6 weeks, and now I am back to my normal blog. I don't know how many people read this, but thank you who ever you are.

I am back in the normal swing of things for the summer. I'm starting my 2nd week of work since I returned from my trip. It's pretty low key compared to the first part of my summer. I have been enjoying Eastern Montana along with my free evenings and week ends. This week I am volunteering at a sports camp after work. I'm not very athletic, but I will be helping teach basketball and soccer... I haven't played basketball since middle school, and I've never played soccer... so I'm hoping I can team teach with some one. :) I will be learning with the kids, so it will be a great experience. :)

So, my summer plans, now that I am back in Missoula are to work, spend time with friends, scrapbook to my hearts content and more, make jewerly, go hiking, work out, get ready for Marching Band, watch movies and MASH... and what ever else I feel like doing. I'm hoping to take a couple road trips as soon as I get paid. But we'll see. :)

I still have home work to do from my class in Vienna, so that will take a lot of my time. It's due on the 23rd of the month, so I still have some time to get it done. I also plan to cook, and experiement with my Austrian cook book. I'll have to see how it will taste with American substitues. It should be good any way. :)

I hope you are enjoying your summer so far. It's gone by so fast already! Enjoy the sun, and stay cool and hydrated!

Love,

Jenna
