It's sunny here in Missoula, and it's only going to get warmer. :) Rachel is throwing a BBQ for me before I go to Vienna, I'm so spoiled! :-) Even though I still have a lot to do for that trip, it's nice to actually relax and enjoy the simple things, and not have to be in a practice room on a sunny day, or study, or worry about school in general. I have a good feeling about this semester. I ended it with confidence, I improved on so many things, and I passed everything I needed to pass to move on to next semester.
It's going to be a great summer :)
Vienna for a month, and when I get back I will start working at the Mansfield Library. I have a pretty good schedule, and I'll get 30 hours a week. I'll get off at 4:30 everyday, leaving me time at the end of the day to practice etudes with no stress, learn some new pieces on the flute and piano, paint, scrapbook, work out, go for long walks, journal, draw.... drink tea at the end of the day, go through the series of MASH.... or what ever my heart desires. :-) I will also be working on the scrapbook for the Grizzly Marching Band, and getting ready for band camp the week before school starts. God is spoiling me with an amazing summer, that I can not wait for it to unfold. :-)
What book(s) have you been reading lately?
I am current reading Alan Alda's 2nd autobiography, Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself. I love it! I loved his preceding book Never Have Your Dog Stuffed and if you are an Alan Alda, or a MASH fan by any means, or just looking for a very touching, but humorous read, I would recommend it. Granted, I may sound a bit bias because I have been a MASH and Alan Alda fan since I was in middle school, but seriously, read it. :) I have been able to connect with him through his book, and it's just been amazing. (Does that sound weird or strange to you?) I'm still hoping to meet him soon. If I would want to meet any famous person, it would be him.
Take care, and enjoy the sunshine :)
Go look at a tree today! Maggie, my flute teacher told her students
to do that. :-) It made me laugh & I thought it was strange,
but it helped. :-) Looking at something green and blooming will make
any one have a good day after cold weather, or a bad day.
